TWO APPROACHES TO THE FOLD
The classic 7-fold tie holds a respected place in neckwear history. It uses an expansive sheet of woven silk folded upon itself seven times to create body without a standard wool interlining. While the folding process is impressive, the result is dense and heavy. A 7-fold creates a thick, substantial knot that carries an undeniable formality, which can feel out of place the moment you step outside an executive boardroom.
Our untipped 3-fold tie takes a different route. Folded three times from pure silk twill by our makers in Como, it keeps physical bulk to an absolute minimum. Instead of demanding attention, it ties into a clean, nimble four-in-hand knot that stays crisp. We cut the blade to an understated 6.5 centimeters, honoring the slim profile of Swedish design while keeping the look balanced and modern.

THE TRANSPARENCY OF AN UNTIPPED EDGE
In standard neckwear, the tipping at the back of the blade acts as a curtain. It conceals raw fabric edges and synthetic stays that hold the tie together.
Leaving a tie untipped removes that cover entirely. When there is no tipping fabric, every single element of the construction is visible to the naked eye. Our makers in Italy must fold each fold with meticulous precision, rolling the outer edges entirely by hand and securing them with delicate hand stitches. If a cut is slightly off or a stitch is placed carelessly, you see it instantly.
This honest way of making things reflects how we approach our unlined jackets. Without interior lining to hide stray threads or wide seam allowances, the maker has to be uncompromising with their technique. It takes more patience to build a garment this way, but it leaves you with an accessory that feels natural and completely transparent in how it was made.

VERSATILITY FOR A CONTINUOUS DAY
Because the tie lacks stiff interlinings, the silk twill breathes easily and moves naturally with your collar. It avoids the stiff rigidity that makes traditional neckwear feel restrictive after hours on the move. The deep green tone and the blue shades provide a versatile, earthy base that complements a soft suit jacket or a relaxed casual overshirt.
At once a day, we design pieces for a continuous way of being. Whether you are heading into a morning meeting in Central or taking a slow coffee break on Elgin Street, your clothing should feel effortless. This tie is not meant to dominate your look. It simply serves as a reliable, high-utility foundation that helps you navigate your day with ease.
